And now that the book’s movie adaptation is finally releasing, and with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, the book’s popularity will skyrocket.
The plot follows four retirees—ex-spy Elizabeth, ex-union activist Ron, ex-psychiatrist Ibrahim, and ex-nurse Joyce—living in a quiet community where tea, gossip, and puzzles fill the days. Their secret club meets to tackle unsolved murder cases, but everything changes when an actual murder happens nearby, and they start to investigate it.
