The sixth book in the Blood and Ash series by Jennifer L. Armentrout, titled “The Primal of Blood and Bone,” will be released this year!
The Blood and Ash series started in 2020, with the first book, “From Blood and Ash,” and the last book in the series, “A Soul of Ash and Blood,” was released in 2023. Apart from the main series, the author has also written several books in the Flesh and Fire series, which serves as a prequel.
The next book in the main series by the author, which will be Blood and Ash book 6, is scheduled to be released this year, on September 23, 2025!
Jennifer L. Armentrout is the author of this book, and she has dabbled in contemporary romance, new adult, and fantasy. The Blood and Ash series falls into a combination of all these genres.

What is the Plot of the Blood and Ash Series?
Poppy is one of the main characters of Blood and Ash. She is a young woman who has been chosen to be a Maiden from birth. This means her life is not her own. All she can do is wait for the day of her “Ascension.” However, it’s not what she wants and certainly not where she wants to be either.
Things start to change when Hawke, a golden-eyed man who guards her, enters her life. The two connect in a way she never thought was possible, and it’s through that connection that Poppy can finally break free.
But Poppy realizes her entire life has been a lie. This includes the man she fell in love with. She is also in trouble because a dangerous man has her in sight. Even though she doesn’t trust him, she sees no choice but to work with him. It’s the only way Poppy will ever be able to see her brother again and learn what his fate is.
However, there is a reason why this man is not to be trusted. Poppy will have to keep her wits about her, otherwise she will fall victim to him just like so many others.
Poppy’s story continues as she falls in love with none other than Prince Casteel, but life is still difficult. Besides being the true ruler of Atlantia, which is putting a huge target on her back, she also needs to find her brother and free Casteel’s brother as well.
In the last published book, A Soul of Ash and Blood, we step into Casteel’s shoes rather than Poppy’s. It’s a nice change to see things through Cas’s POV for a change since it offers a new perspective.
How Many Books Will Be In The Blood and Ash Series?
The sixth book’s description says that it is the “penultimate” chapter, which means there will be one more book after this, the seventh book.
The author will reveal more information about the final book in the Blood and Ash series once The Primal of Blood and Bone is out and in the hands of readers worldwide!
