On March 9, 2023, it was announced that From Blood and Ash would get a TV series adaptation. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amazon Studios acquired the rights to the series.
However, that’s no longer the case because, as of December 2024, it was revealed that Sony Pictures Television has acquired the rights to the series after Amazon Studios let it expire.
The TV adaptation of Jennifer L. Armentrout’s book series is currently under development at Sony, and considering that the production house stepped in without wasting any time, they might be pretty serious about the adaptation!

Given that it’s been only a few months since Sony announced the TV series, there is no new update regarding which production stage the adaptation is at. As such, we don’t have a release date for the TV series!
A movie takes a long time to make, but an entire series can take a lot longer. They need to figure out how many episodes the season will have and write a script for every one of them.
Based on this fact, you shouldn’t expect a release date for the series to be announced anytime soon.
What is the Cast of the From Blood and Ash TV Series?
As we said above, it’s just been announced that there will be a series based on the From Blood and Ash book series, so the casting process hasn’t even begun yet, let alone being announced. Many things must be done in the pre-production stages, so the casting must wait while the essential things get sorted out.
This doesn’t mean fans can’t engage in some fan-casting, and fans have already started talking about the actors and actresses who should play the main characters. It’s unlikely these actors or actresses will be cast for the role, but it doesn’t mean it isn’t fun to engage in!

Sony has successfully adapted Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander, which has had a successful multi-season run, so fans have high expectations from the production house that they will do justice to Jennifer L. Armentrout’s fantasy series, too!
