I reached out to Abby Jimenez for clarification, and she confirmed that the adaptation is currently in development but that it is too early to share any details.
Since a studio hasn’t picked up the project, there’s no way to tell if the books will become movies or a TV show. But the author did confirm that the intention was to adapt all three books—Part of Your World, Yours Truly, and Just for the Summer—whether as individual movies or a limited series with each getting its own season.
What Will be the Plot of the Part of Your World Adaptation?

Just For the Summer (2024)—In this one, Justin thinks he is cursed. All the women he dates find their soulmate right after they break up. To address this issue, he meets with Emma, a woman who shares the same problem. They start a casual summer fling, but things turn serious when Emma’s mother shows up, and Justin takes over guardianship of his three siblings in tow. Is fate trying to tell them something?

Don’t get your popcorn ready just yet! The adaptation is still in pre-production. Many fans are excited about the casting. In particular, they are curious to see who will play the sexy role of Jacob Maddox.
