Although it’s a great series, the author also has a spinoff series called “Flesh and Fire,” which serves as a prequel to the original series. This fantasy-romance juggernaut took off like wildfire when its first book was released in 2020. The story centers on Poppy, a maiden destined for something more, and Hawke, the mysterious guard who turns her world upside down. It’s a steamy, high-stakes ride with secrets, betrayals, and ancient power struggles.

Then there’s Flesh and Fire, the prequel series set in the same universe. It dives into the origin stories and deeper lore that shape the world we see in Blood and Ash. 1. A Shadow in the Ember (2021)
